Customize Place Names
PC Miler Worldwide allows you to customize place names to
match the names of your facilities and/or customer
locations. Let’s add a custom place to the stop list for
Route 1:

Select Manage Custom Places… from the
Tools menu to access the Custom Place Manager.

To enter a custom place, click your
cursor in the Custom Name field and type in “HQ”
(for “Headquarters”).

Select Stubbendorf, Germany as the
location: type “17159” in the Location
field, click Add, and choose Stubbendorf from the
pick list. (You could also create a custom place by
entering a city name and state/ country abbreviation
or latitude/longitude coordinates in the Location
field.)

Select Route 1 (the hub route) from
the Windows menu to activate it, and click below the
last stop to highlight that position on the list.

In the Custom Place Manager,
highlight “HQ” on the list of custom names and
click Pick Stop. (Alternatively, you could have
typed “HQ” in the route entry window.)

Click OK to close the Custom
Place Manager, and examine the Route 1 window. HQ has
been added to Route 1 and marked with an asterisk to
show that it’s a custom name.

To calculate the new route, click on
Run.
